This Village we call Earth
If we could shrink the earth's population to a village of precisely 100 people, with all the existing human ratios remaining the same, the village would look like this:
Breathe out SLOWLY.
We have had a lot of dreary, cloudy days this past while, conditions that make us feel that we need a NAP! But what you probably need are a few deep OUT breaths. A lot of people think that when you breathe, you should focus on taking oxygen in, but it's during the exhale that oxygen is transferred into the blood stream, decreasing stress. This is critical when you need energy. Recipe for an energizing breath? Breathe in through your nose for a count of 4, then exhale through your mouth for a count of 5 or 6. Repeat 5 to 10 times and you will have energy to burn!
White rice has the hull, bran and germ polished off, while brown rice has only the hull removed. While brown rice undeniably contains more nutrients, it is much harder to digest, making white rice, particularly basmati, the preferred grain of Ayurveda. The best white rices have been aged and can be stored on a cool, dark shelf. Brown rice contains the germ and is therefore more perishable and should be stored in the fridge or freezer. Basmati rice is the finest, most delicate, most delicious rice in the world! It is the only rice in which the grains elongate when cooked. The best basmati is grown in India and is worth the extra money, nothing equals the flavor.
