White Rice or Brown-Which is healthier?

White rice has the hull, bran and germ polished off, while brown rice has only the hull removed. While brown rice undeniably contains more nutrients, it is much harder to digest, making white rice, particularly basmati, the preferred grain of Ayurveda.  The best white rices have been aged and can be stored on a cool, dark shelf.  Brown rice contains the germ and is therefore more perishable and should be stored in the fridge or freezer.  Basmati rice is the finest, most delicate, most delicious rice in the world! It is the only rice in which the grains elongate when cooked.  The best basmati is grown in India and is worth the extra money, nothing equals the flavor.
