A review of 11 studies involving 833 people, published in the journal Environmental Science and Technology, found that exercising in natural environments was associated with feeling more revitalized and postitive, and less stressed angry or depressed, compared to exercising indoors. There's even evidence that exercising outside may feel easier! Whether you are running, walking or biking outdoors, lift your eyes and engage your senses-the crunch of the snow beneath you, the birds chirping. Now that's meditation!!! GET OUT!!!!

It is that time of year again, and people, including me, find they are getting sucked into the craziness of the season. Yoga, mediation and breathing excercises help us manage with more calm and ease, but if you don't have time to fit it into your day, essential oils can help. The best part about turning to essential oils instead of caffene and sugary drinks or treats, is that there is no adverse side effects, like weight gain or more restlessness. To help stay grounded, try an essential oil with an earthy scent like Cedarwood or pine. Fits right into the season too!
