The One Day Cleanse

I recently saw an interview with Chris Martin, from the band Cold Play on Ellen, my favorite show.  He described how one day a week he goes without food.  He shared that the reason he does this is to appreciate food more on his eating days.  But I suspect there is more to it than that.  If you follow the Ayurvedic lifestyle, it is recommended that you have a fluid day every so often depending on your elemental type.   For those with a Vata constitution it is recommended that you have a fluid day every four weeks. For Pitta, every two weeks in the winter and in the summer months when it is hot it can be increased to once a week.  For Kappa, one fluid day every week is recommended.  Once a month this can be increased to two days.  Check in next week for instructions on how to do a one day fluid cleanse.
