Adding some pungent and diaphoretic herbs and spices to your spring meals will stimulate sluggish Kapha digestion, dry out a damp gut and lungs while keeping circulation strong by cleaning thick congested spring blood. Add any of the following spices to your recipes: cinnamon, star anise, ginger turmeric, mustard, tarragon and parsley or combine with fresh seasonal greens such as asparagus and kale. Also good with light legumes like red lentils for a truly stimulating menu.
