Good thing this tip didn't appear after Christmas!! Eating the ayurvedic way means consuming fresh, locally produced food in season. But realistically eating leftovers will save you time and may keep you from eating commercially prepared food that is full of preservatives. Left over food is void of life force and the longer it sits in your fridge the more it loses. Leftovers should be refrigerated in air tight, glass containers, reheated only once and disposed of after two days. Freezing food is also not ayurvedic, but the reality is that we may need to resort to freezing the odd meal. If so, use freezer-grade airtight, glass, single serving containers and eat it within a month. Freezing food that is uncooked is a better option than cooking a meal and then freezing it.
