Kammi has her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training. Although she doesn't teach regularly, she can be found subbing at many locations. As Yoga is one of the movement forms in Nia, she also uses her skills and knowledge incorporating it into her Nia classes.

We live in a culture that glorifies exercise, hard work and pushing the limits in as many ways as possible. multi-tasking, working through lunch and running marathons are the ways in which our current society believes brings satisfaction. How often do you hear the words: No Pain No Gain, Just Do It, Feel the Burn?? We have an obsessive relationship with exercise, and we're conditioned to thinking that more is better and that pushing ourselves to the limit is preferable to taking it easy in our activities. Yoga has a much more holistic and balanced approach and includes mindfulness and meditation.
